In 2015, the DRAHI X-Novation Center, École Polytechnique’s Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation opened its doors on the l’X campus for the first time. This facility—created thanks to an exceptional donation of €5 million from the founding president of the Altice group, Patrick Drahi (Year of Entry: 1983), —consists of a unique space dedicated to acceleration, incubation and teaching, as well as creation, testing and prototyping. The Center for Innovation is devoted to promoting exchange between students, researchers, entrepreneurs and investors, and maintains interaction with leading international institutions and incubators, such as Columbia and Technion.
