Developing collaborations between researchers and doctors, in order to improve future healthcare services: this is the vision of the new biomedical innovation program launched in 2018 by l’X, the l’X Foundation and the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation. The Program is involved in a wide range of interdisciplinary topics in physics, biology, mathematics, computer science and medicine. Headed by Abdul Barakat, professor at École Polytechnique and research director at CNRS, the Biomedical Innovation Program represents a new milestone in the project to build a Biomedical Engineering Institute at l’X. The Institute will define the research and teaching strategy at l'X for fields found at the meeting point between physics, engineering, biology and medicine.
