The management: Denis Ranque

After entering École Polytechnique in 1970 and becoming an engineer of the Corps des Mines, Denis Ranque built a successful career in industry, in particular at Thomson-CSF—now known as Thales—, where he was CEO from 1998 to 2009. He now holds the position of Chairman of Airbus. Denis Ranque has been a patron of l’X from the very beginning and is strongly committed to the institution. In reflection of this commitment, he has chaired the École Polytechnique Foundation since 2014. The Foundation works towards promoting the development and reputation of l’X.
