How can we finance energy transition? This is the crucial question that the "Energy and Prosperity Chair" has set out to answer. The Chair was created in 2014 by l’X, École Normale Supérieure and ENSAE ParisTech, and is sponsored by ADEME, Air Liquide, Mirova, Schneider Electric, the French Agency for Development, the Caisse des Dépôts and the SNCF. The project supports teaching and research focused on the various innovative channels of funding for energy transition, like financial engineering and regulation, and the tools to evaluate their performance. It also seeks to analyze the microeconomic fundamentals of energy transition and develop macroeconomic scenarios for the evolution of its financing.
