"Mathematical Modeling and Biodiversity" Chair

Launched in 2009, the "Applied Mathematics and Ecology" Chair aims to foster a synergistic relationship between applied mathematics and ecology, around the theme of biodiversity. Its founders are l’X, its Foundation, the French National Museum of Natural History and Veolia Environnement. The Chair’s uniqueness lies in its multidisciplinary approach to modeling the ecosystem, with a view to addressing key environmental issues such as ecological niches, adaptive evolution, space colonization and the construction of biodiversity scenarios. These various goals require the development of innovative mathematical tools.
