"Integrated Urban Mobility" Chair

L’X is teaming up with Uber to create the "Integrated Urban Mobility" Teaching and Research Chair in 2019. The Chair’s projects include modeling transport demand based on machine learning, simulations of dense low-altitude air traffic management (Uber intends to launch urban flying taxis by 2023), the integration of innovative air transport solutions in conjunction with regulators, and the development of smart grids to power future electric air and land transport fleets. The project will see researchers from the l’X Computer Science Laboratory collaborating with the Advanced Technologies Center of Paris (ATCP), Uber's first European R&D center, which was launched in 2018.
