Patrons: Claude Bébéar (Year of Entry: 1955)

Claude Bébéar is a graduate of École Polytechnique, who entered the institution in 1955. In 1985, he founded AXA, an international corporation specializing in insurance and asset management, which is operational today in 64 countries and has almost 107 million customers. He holds a strong attachment to l’X and is one of its major donors. Claude Bébéar has shown his commitment to the institution’s development, particularly when he headed the first Fundraising Campaign led by the École Polytechnique Foundation. The Campaign raised €35.2 million in donations, legacies and settlements given by alumni between 2008 and 2013.
