Morphoscope is a platform for technological innovation in the imaging of living organisms. This facility comprises a collection of optical microscopes, some of which are unique prototypes that are unrivalled in the world. They aim to go beyond the limitations of existing methods in the imaging of living organisms in three different ways: in greater depth, more quickly and in higher resolution. To this end, researchers developed the ChroMS approach, a system that combines multicolor 3D microscopy with automated fabric cutting. For example, ChroMS allows for imaging of a mouse brain with a cellular resolution involving a considerable amount of computer resources, made possible thanks to the dedicated servers at the facility. Morphoscope also includes an aquaculture animal house that can accommodate up to 6,000 zebra fish.
