Patrons: Patrick Drahi (Year of Entry: 1983)

The founding president of the Altice Group, Patrick Drahi, entered École Polytechnique in 1983. He has worked to promote the development of l’X since its first Fundraising Campaign, of which he is now the leading private sponsor. In 2015, he made an exceptional donation of €5 million to support entrepreneurship at l’X, one of the institution’s pillars for strategic development. This contribution, —which came in addition to his previous donations of €2 million for MOOCs taught by l’X—went towards the construction of a facility entirely dedicated to entrepreneurship and innovation, the Drahi X - Novation Center. The Center is home to the École Polytechnique Accelerator and Incubator.
