One of the main objectives of the "Science and Video Games" Chair, led by l’X, the l’X Foundation and Ubisoft, is to help game designers to create ever more credible and intelligent universes. Video game companies are highly interested in any kind of scientific simulation that could improve accessibility and rendering, such as 3D modeling, sound spatialization and voice. Of equal interest to game designers are simulations that can create a gameplay element from physical, economic and social models. Of course, the field of artificial intelligence is also absolutely essential in such contexts. Led by the initiative of CNRS research director Raphaël Granier de Cassagnac, the Chair will foster contact and projects between students, manufacturers and scientists.
